Weakness: extreme levels of heat, low levels of water in his systems, and his own trusting nature.
Goals: Keep the team safe for as long as he is a part of it.
Personality: Kaldur is someone that always has a calm face regardless of what emotions are building up inside of him. His mind has been trained to focus on the mission without letting any personal issues affect his performance. He tries to get his teammates to follow the same method during certain occasions, but he realizes that each one of them is a person with their own personality and views.
Kaldur is always respectful to everyone he meets that hasn’t proven to be evil. This includes when he is telling them that what they are saying is wrong. He is also a very friendly very person to everyone on the team, and he is always reassuring his teammates of their actions regardless of their outcomes. His idea is that negative comments only lead to negative results during the mission, which is why he keeps any doubts about himself hidden from the others. Kaldur is always thinking of what is best for the team as a whole and each individual.
Although he is good at it and probably trained for it by Aquaman, Kaldur believes that it is not his destiny to be leader of any team, but he will perform the job if he is asked to until someone more suited is ready for it. With this being said, he is not the traditional leader that has that aggressive tone to his voice when laying out his plan. He believes that talking to someone as an equal is the best way to get them to complete the task set out for them, but he also realizes that teenagers sometimes need some stern reinforcement when.
History:
Kaldur's exact origins are unknown to the rest of the world, and some parts are even a mystery to him, but he is definitely an Atlantean that has been trained in the military styles since a young age as he has the natural side effects. This training seems to have lasted the vast majority of his life and entails various aspects of Atlantean culture as well as surface world culture. Kaldur has studied in the sorcery academy, which is where he acquired and learned hot to use the water channelers. It is also the location that he learned about his other abilities.
His parents are unknown to him, but they must have been very powerful to produce a child with the abilities that Kaldur has. It also appears that he has been adopted into the royal family and has received personal training from Aquaman in the ways of combat and tag team, but there is still the barrier of king to subject between the two of them. Kaldur took his first stance at showing Aquaman that he was ready for the responsibilities of a hero, when he helped to rescue Superboy.
Kaldur helped to form the Young Justice team, which was composed of Robin, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian, and himself. They have so far defeated Mr. Twister, stopped the potential rise in the abuse of a Blockbuster-Venom serum, and defeated Dr. Izo's Amazo machine with some assistance of Artemis who later joined the team.. He was also elected leader on their mission to stop the Cobra group. The team is continuing to grow and become a unified force against the forces of evil with Kaldur at the helm.
RP Sample:
(Just going to mention ahead of time that I used Aquaman in this. Hope that was okay.)
Kaldur stood on top of what would have been considered an underwater mesa awaiting his king. He had been asked to meet there for the simple purpose of his king wanting to check up on the job that Kaldur had asked of his king. His face showed no emotion as he looked in the direction that his king was coming from, and as he drew close Kaldur bowed to his king before returning to the standing position. "Hello my liege. How are you?"
"I am well, but let us get to the matter at hand. How is the whole team situation going?" Aquaman was apparently wanting to know whether or not Kaldur was faring well as part of a team and as a leader. It was an understandable question as Kaldur was not used to working on such a team or in such a position, and at times he questioned whether or not he was still the best one for the job. Kaldur never let this doubt show as it would weaken the team's confidence level, and that would possibly damage their ability to function as a unit.
"The team situation as you called it is going as well as can be expected. We are slowly growing into something more than a team, but it is still a work in progress as all teams are." Kaldur's main concern was how new additions would be able to adapt to being on a team, and how those already on the team would be able to handle the fact that new people were coming in to the team. He knew that there would be some bumps, but he believed that the team would be able to persevere and come out of the entire situation as one strong unit, or a real family.
"Do you believe that being on this team will make you a better hero?" Yet again, his king was giving him a question that was not easy for him to answer as he did not really have a clue what would be the end result. Working as a team may hinder his ability to work alone, or it might be the one thing that allows him to pull through on a mission that is of great importance. Only time would give him the answer to that question.
"I do not know if being a part of this team will make me a better hero, but I do know one thing. Being with my friends will make me a much better person."
