Unknown// The Joker
Name: Unknown
Age: Either younger or older than Batman - give or take a few years
Race: ...Genetically apart of the human race
Powers: None. But don't take him for a weakling - his most powerful weapon is his mind. Though thanks to the effects of hte toxins he was submerged in - he is able to heal relatively quickly than most and has a strong resistance to many toxins.
Alliance: He is probably the least trustworthy accomplice any villian (and even more so a hero) could have. The only alliances he creates are those that he deems as vital concerning himself - the only people who could ever even be rarely gauranteed anything from him would be Batman and Harley
Strength: His deadliest weapon: his mind. It’s a steal trap that has been banned the world wide over. It’s always tinkering with plans, escape routes and other tid-bits of information. He has a colorful background in the sciences, biology and chemistry being among is favorites, in weaponry, and other nonsensical to philosophical teachings and insights. He’s a jack of all trades and master of many.
And as stated before, he’s quick and limber and he lacks the capacity of fear, of even his own death if it serves a greater purpose. And because of his cunning and diligence, and unique sense of charisma that make him almost endearing, he is an interesting but unpleasant foe if he is able to get into your head.
Weakness: Like most super villains, he suffers from an over inflated ego. And in many cases it could lead to some of his most slanderous failures. He always beckons to a taunt, will always give himself away to GCPD if enough taunts and titillation stimulates him. And ultimately, like all his sprees that represent a piece of his bastard soul, everything he does is done with his own personal signature and mark – hence, every malignant disaster – great or small – will in some ways all connect to him.
Another thing that is mentioned earlier, his physical prowess it’s not his main focal point. Though he is swift and can stun with a few punches, kicks or jabs here and there, for the most part, his physical strength could be overpowered by many other super villains and heroes a like. Hence why he has to use other methods to get the upper hand on his enemies.
Goals: His motives are very simple: He does what he does because he likes it and because he can.
Of course, there is the idea of his nihilistic view of the world, where nothing matters and everything is meaningless and the world is just a big cosmic gag that he wants everyone to learn and understand and revel in. But of course he wouldn’t be participating in all of this if he didn’t entertain and enjoy the idea of people trying to put meaning into something so meaningless; to dismantle the perception of BEING all together and make people take a look at the empty abyss of the universe and understand that there is nothing beyond what they have now. Ironically, he lives his life to the fullest, and enjoys the destruction and mayhem he causes a long the way.
This is his life’s calling, this is what he was meant to do, there is nothing more than that. He is the yin to Batman’s yang, destined to fight with him and all the forces of normal society and “do-gooders” to eternities end.
Personality: The Joker's personality can really only accurately be described as mercurial. His mood can (and does) change from second to second, making him entirely unpredictable. Humorous and amusing one moment, sadistic and violent the next, one can never really be sure what they will get when dealing with Gotham's most infamous criminal. He can be manipulative, charming, cunning, engaging and dangerous, all at the same time, making him a deadly foe to even the most fearless of opponents.
This apparent psychopath can seem harmless and playful, creating elaborate jokes seemingly for his own amusement, but the joke really is on everyone else. His pranks are almost always at the expense of someone else - someone who just doesn't get the joke. If the joke goes over as planned, Joker is likely to be in high spirits. If the gag falls flat, his volatile temper is sure to surface, wreaking havoc on anything and anyone in close proximity to him.
Even The Joker's voice plays a part in the constant tug-of-war that is his personality. His usually soft and eerily drawn out manner of speaking is punctuated by sometimes extreme highs and lows in tone, even giving way to ferocious growls when his nearly non-existent patience is tested. And of course, there is no conversation too serious to be accented by a few laughs. Or giggles. Or outright hysterics, for that matter.
Everyone has quirks, and The Joker certainly has more than his share. The creepy shifting of black-rimmed eyes, the unnerving flicker of his tongue as he licks at his serrated lips, dramatic hand gestures that provide a makeshift visual aide for his words, the odd physical twitch or two, and even the hauntingly merry or menacing laughter. These odd personal ticks complete the discomforting presence that is The Joker, and dependent upon the situation, they may make themselves more or less evident.
History:“If I’m going to have a past, I want it to be multiple choice!” – The Killing Joke
No one knows who the Joker was before his accident at Ace Chemicals. His origin is a mystery, maybe even to the Joker himself. Perhaps he was a failing comedian trying to make ends meet, or a tired chemical engineer who sought action from his mundane life, or even a top dog mobster – but none of these stories can ever truly be confirmed.
However, what we do know is this: A criminal only known as Red Hood, fled from the Batman in Ace Chemicals and fell to his demise down a vat of toxic waste. After this encounter, the Red Hood was no more and out emerged the Joker. The chemical bath that so altered his appearance - giving him chalk white skin, moss green hair and a rictus-grin - also did imbue him with other properties. He has a seeming immunity to most toxins and poisons and medicines as well as a heightened resistance to pain, and perhaps an enhanced healing factor.
This much we know as to how the Joker was born, and he regards anything happening prior to his transformation to not have occurred at all or simply holds it in such little esteem that he could care less what he was before he was the Joker.
In his criminal career timeline, he has contributed too many of Batman’s travesties and has broken the minds of many foes and doctors. A prime example can be found in his transformation of his previous doctor Harleen Quinzel to Harley Quinn. Through constant talks between the two, and her naïveté, he was able to enrapture her in his grasp and make her fall madly in love with him. They both have become a match made in hell.
Being mirror opposite to the Batman, and his archenemies, he makes it his business to always occupy himself to the torture, maiming and possible killing of Batman. Of course he pays some sort of service to actually wanting to kill Batman. The Joker usually persists hurting those closest to Batman. Prime examples include: the killing of Batman’s second Robin – Jason Todd, the crippling of Batgirl – Barbara Gordon, and the killing of James Gordon’s wife. Joker’s evident reason for even existing is to cause havoc for The Dark Knight – and he has succeeded in doing so in many cases, however, he has not succeeded in completely dismantling the Bat’s spirit.
And so his fighting with the Caped Crusader will continue – both strapped into a roller coaster of death – till one of them eventually is eliminated.
