Kara had wandered all around the little hideout. Finally, she was sick and tired of everything on the inside. So far, she had just run into Wonder girl, otherwise known as Cassie, and no one else. Sometimes, she just wondered if they were avoiding her or something like that. In that case, she was peeved. Currently, she was sitting on the roof biting the inside of her mouth with a glare on her face. She had, for now, traded in her Supergirl outfit in favor for some blue Capris and a white tank top with an over shirt saying, “Love is for Losers” over that. She couldn’t believe she hadn’t run into her cousin, yet. She blinked twice and reprimanded herself. She wasn’t supposed to let him know she was his cousin, technically, until after she saw whether or not they got along. And, if he looked anything like the big guy, then she had no doubt in her mind that he probably wouldn’t catch on to it for a while.
That was her plan. Of course, none of that mattered if she couldn’t even find her cousin. She had no idea where to start, either. She was merely stuck in this rut of a place until she could find a way to sneak out and head toward where Jimmy was. She missed him so, and she couldn’t wait to meet up with him again. But, then again, she wanted to do that only after she met Craig. No, that wasn’t it. She couldn’t even remember what Batman had told her Superboy was called. She didn’t very much feel like calling him Superboy to his face, either. Cause, that was just impersonal to her and Kara hated the feeling of being impersonal. She also had to find a way to introduce herself to Conner. Oh, there she went. She nearly smacked her hand to her face. Of course it was Conner, how could she forget? Clark, Kara, Conner. Their names kind of went together.

Superboy was already sitting on the roof, just higher up then where you would come out onto it. He was actually sitting at the very top of the mountain, it already became known he spent time out here so even when he did come out here to be alone he was still bothered from time to time so he moved to the very top in hope that it would give him privacy as he had nowhere else to go to get any.
He heard the hatch open below and he looked down to see Kara exit onto the roof and sit down similar to how he did. He watched her in silence, he knew who she was as the others had told him. She was Superman's cousin, which made them cousins as well. She had all of his abilities, something he still did not for some reason. "You are related to Superman right?" he asked her from up above. She'd have to come to him to talk face to face, his only means of getting back down was jumping down to the ground and then going in through the door. He had no flight, no super speed, no means to just travel to and fro with ease.

ooc: it's ok, also just to let you know he doesn't know his name is Conner yet, we haven't played it out

When she heard someone addressing her, she extended her arms out behind her and tilted her head back, locating the person talking to her with her eyes. It was him. Superboy. She fixed her position and muttered a curse under her breath. Kara hadn’t been expecting him to realize she was Superman’s cousin. But, considering she had been around the base for a while, it was understandable that someone sold her out. Well, she had managed to escape being seen by him so far, she might as well face him now. Pushing her feet against the ground, she pushed herself up and felt herself being thrown up.
She flipped herself in the air and stopped herself from going any higher when she was directly across from him. Supergirl shook her head side to side to make sure she had no hair in her face. “Yeah, I’m his cousin. They call me Kara In-Ze. But, you know, everyone calls me Kara or Supergirl.” She held up a peace sign with her fingers before flying a little closer. “You’re, by default, my cousin too, aren’t you…Superboy?” She asked, grinning as she held her hand out towards him, hoping he would take it and not leave her hanging. He had no reason not to like her, right? Especially cause part of the reason she didn’t just leave was because she wanted to help him out.

He had the same cold expression on his face that he always did as he watched her float up to his level. He didn't say anything as he had nothing to actually say. He did not move or budge as she got closer, instead he just readied himself for whatever might occur next. She introduced herself to him by her true name and then her hero name. She then said that because she was Superman's cousin that they were cousins as well. Family, that was a touchy subject seeing as his 'father' wanted nothing to do with him. Regardless he reached out and shook her hand.
"Yes I am Superboy, I don't have any other name. So did he send you here to watch me or is he just getting you out of his hair like he does me?" he asked her harshly about Superman and her reasons for being here. He stared at her the same way he stared at everyone else whether he talked to them or not.

After she pulled her hand back and listened to him introduce himself, she beamed a little. She was glad to have met him, finally. It was kinda light a weight off of her shoulders had been lifted. Maybe, after this meeting, she could go find Cassie and tell her all about it, considering the fellow blonde was the only other person she knew, but that would depend on how this meeting went. But, judging on what he had said right after, she probably had something to be wary about. Kara locked her blue eyes onto her ‘little cousin’ with a somewhat amused, somewhat confused, and somewhat agitated glance. It seemed like Superboy didn’t know anything about the big guy. That was odd. When she had first arrived, Clark hadn’t even wanted her to be alone. Then again, he had insisted she was too young to do anything and had left her with her ‘aunt and uncle’. Perhaps, he was doing the same thing to Superboy, only, instead of leaving him with people Superman saw on a regular basis, he left him with a team. Of course, she had minded being left alone and not being able to help Clark, especially considering it had been her mission to teach him, not the other way around. But, she hadn’t been too angry about how the situation had turned out. Still…
No wonder the boy was so touchy when it came to Superman. She probably shouldn’t have brought him up, but, to be fair, Superboy was the one that had mentioned him first, not her. Kara’s nose wrinkled in that kind of annoying way it had a habit of doing whenever she was thinking about what to say. “That’s too bad, about the name. Going by Superboy just sounds…so impersonal. Make sure to call me Kara if we’re not out on a mission pummeling bad guys to pieces.” She grinned, to show him that she didn’t want there to be any hard feelings between them. When she had started off talking to her, he seemed to already be so determined on not liking her. That put a major dent in her plans. Since she had kind of failed-unintentionally, of course-in helping Superman learn his powers, she had the idea to help him, even if he didn’t want it. She and Superman were incredibly stubborn, and, even though they hadn’t said much to each other, she could already tell that he was probably as stubborn as they were.
“Now, I know you may not like him, but I care a great deal about Clark.” She started off, crossing her arms and setting a glare down upon him, much like the one she had given Batman when he had sent her here. “I also understand why you would be mad at him. No, Superman didn’t send me down here to watch you. And, no, he didn’t send me down here to get out of his hair. Believe it or not, kiddo, but the world doesn’t revolve around you.” She grinned a little, moving her hands so that they were on her hips. Yeah, that was a way to push his buttons, but, fortunately, she was in the sky and he was on the building. The worst he could do was jump and try to knock her out of the air, but she had fought worse with Tea. “In fact, I’m not entirely sure my older cousin even knows I’m here. Batman sent me here…punishment.” She scowled for a bit. Kara was still sore when it came to the Dark Knight. “But, I know what you mean. He doesn’t have all the answers. You were a surprise he hadn’t been expecting. I’m pretty sure he thought his surprises were done when I showed up.”

She surprised him by still staying and talking to him, his usual angry expression slowly softening the more she stayed. "I don't understand what you mean by impersonal, a name is a name, what is so significant about that?" he asked her without any hint of attitude in his voice. "Fine." he said in regard to calling her Kara when they weren't on mission.
He blinked and looked confused when she said Clark, who was Clark? "Who's Clark?" he asked her. Then he grew agitated when she said the world didn't revolve around him. "I don't care about that, I just want him to accept me and help me adjust!" he yelled in great frustration. Superman was his greatest weakness, even though he was created to replace him one day if the need arise he still thought of him as a father, a father who pretty much abandoned him.
He was still upset and angry but she said she was sent here by Batman and that Superman probably didn't even know about it. "Punished? For what?" he asked her. Was she basically a prisoner here now to like M'gann and he were?

“Well, I guess…But, Superboy isn’t really a name. It’s a title. If we ever went out to town, I’d feel weird calling you Superboy and having you call me Kara. It’s just…weird, I can’t explain it. I just don’t like it.” Her nose wrinkled, but she was incredibly glad he wasn’t mad at her or even too agitated. Krypton knew she had too many people aggravated with her at the moment. Sure, none of those people were alive yet and probably wouldn’t be for quite a while, but that didn’t mean she liked the feeling of having people mad at her. Then again, it was Brainiac so she guessed it didn’t matter much anyway. “Bah, I’m weird so you’ll just have to get used to it, little cuz.” Kara grinned. Sure, she would proudly admit she was weird. How else would she have been able to get along with Jimmy so well? Ah, but it was something that ran in the family, too. Superman had amazing powers and was incredibly smart to the point where she believed he could do anything when he wasn’t in his hero-mode, but, instead of being something cool like a doctor, he was a newspaper reporter.
When he asked her Clark was, her jaw dropped, and she had to restrain herself from doing an epic face palm. “Seriously?” She asked, before she could stop herself. A small red tint jumped onto her face when she realized that, if Clark was staying out of his life, then of course Superboy wasn’t going to know his ‘human’ name. “Sorry, I forget not a lot of people know him as that. Clark is the name Superman goes by when he’s not being a superhero. Clark Kent. I should probably stop saying his name so much or more people are going to realize it, but…eh. We’re all good here.” Kara shrugged and, when he shouted at her, she stumbled back. It took quite a bit to not fall to the ground. With a scowl, she flew towards him and landed on the spot next to him before taking a seat. “Don’t. Yell. At. Me.” She frowned, poking him with her finger. Besides probably bursting his bubble, she hadn’t done anything. And, she didn’t appreciate being yelled at when she hadn’t been doing anything. But, to be fair, she didn’t like being yelled at, period. ”What? You think he was just going to be like, ‘Hey! Let me take you under my wing no questions asked!’? Of course not. Be glad he didn’t stick you with his mom and dad and let them take care of you. At least you’re allowed to hone your powers.” Ah, that was going to create some more questions, but she’d deal with that later.
”I may or may not have just randomly stayed somewhere I probably wasn’t supposed to stay at because I felt more comfortable there than I did here.” She said, vaguely. That probably wasn’t going to make him any more pleased with her than he already was, so she decided to go into a couple of more details. “Not a lot of people know about this, so keep it on the DL, okay? You’re family, technically, so I’ll tell you if you want. The reason I wasn’t around much before was because Green Lantern, Green Arrow and myself were, kind of, taken to the future by a kid name Brainiac 5. Kind of long story short, I kicked butt and helped them save the future. I decided to stay there since the future is kind of a lot like Krypton and Argos, my home planet.” Kara sighed, rubbing her eyes with her fingers. “Except, I got ‘romantically involved’ with Brainiac 5 and Supers and Brainiacs are really not supposed to mess with each other so of course it didn’t work out. The future heroes took his side over mine, and I came back. I guess I wasn’t supposed to say, even though both Greens were whatever about it…” Her nose wrinkled up again. “So, I’ve been demoted from the League and this position again.”

Superboy just shrugged his shoulders over the whole name thing. The concept of what she was explaining to him didn't process in his mind so it made no sense to him. He heard but didn't listen to what she had to say, in one ear and out the other basically. "Fine then what shall I be called?" he asked but with little sound of caring in his actual tone. His head cocked back when she called him 'little cuz', she said they were cousins but it was still a weird concept to grasp let alone talk about.
"This is the first time I have ever heard anyone say Superman's real name. No one here knows it except maybe Robin and he's the last person to reveal secret identities. Outside of the team I don't know anyone, occasionally I talk to Justice League members when they stop by but that is the extent of my social contacts." he explained when she talked about Superman's real name. When she told him not to yell at her and then poked him he raised an eyebrow as he was now glaring at her. She then went on to say that he had it lucky basically for being allowed to roam free. It sounded like Superman took her and left her with his parents here to take care of her. This caused his glare to fade away and a look of sadness overwhelming him. He looked down at the mountain now because for the first time he felt more alone then ever. Clone or not he felt like Superman should do more for him, with him, but instead he was abandoned and ignored like an injured dog on the highway. "So I should be happy that he left me alone and has been ignoring me since we first met? That you got to experience having people that care for you actually taking a role in your life and upbringing? And how can I hone my powers when I still don't even know what half of them are? I've seen him do things that I can't and I don't have a clue why I can't, no one seems to that will at least talk to me."
He looked back at her when she explained why Batman sent her here. A lot of stuff about traveling to the future and doing things there she wasn't supposed to do. "Sounds like you were just doing what made you happy, so why punish you for that?" he asked her. Honestly he didn't understand why some of the adults got so upset over things. "So your here with us as punishment, can I ask you something then?" he looked at her and his expression was blank, no emotion in it at all now.

Kara blinked when he asked what he should be called. What was she supposed to say? He didn’t know. She supposed whatever he wanted to be called would be his name. Still, she was a little flattered that he had asked her. She was even more flattered by the fact that he had actually sounded kind of normal when he has asked, as opposed to rude and angry about what they had been conversing, or because she might have been getting too personal for him to feel comfortable. “I dunno. I’m not you, kiddo.” She said, shrugging a shoulder. “You choose what you want to be called. It’s going to be your name. You’re the one that’s gonna have to answer to it, so pick something you like.”
Eh, if the big guy got mad at her for telling Superboy his real name, then so be it. He got mad and she could deal with that. It would give her a chance to yell at him for not taking time to, at least, have one civil conversation with the boy. Really, he should be ashamed of himself! Sure, she had been mad enough at the man of steel for leaving her with his parents, when she was, technically, older than he was, but she had at least comforted herself with the fact that she had made him talk to her. Still, Kara didn’t think it would be a good thing to get Superboy to do the same thing she had done. It seemed like he was much more unstable than she was, and, therefore, was probably going to be prone to causing more damage. “If he gets mad, it’s his problem.” She grinned at him, mischievously. “I spent a lot of time with the members of the Justice League, Green Arrow in particular. I know most of my time training with all of them. As for your social contacts, I think that’s just in the family.”
Kara nearly slapped her hand to her head. He was missing the point. Sure, she had had her Aunt and Uncle take care of her, but she hadn’t needed them to take care of her. Mostly, she had gotten to ‘live’ with them because Superman didn’t want to deal with her himself and she had needed to be watched. But, whatever, is Superboy wanted to take it that way, then she was going to let him. “No, but I am saying that you should stop being a moody little beast. Seriously, you’re a cute kid. I bet you could get yourself a girlfriend if you’d stop being so angst.” She crossed her arms, holding in a laugh. “I’m teasing. I had them taking care of me because he didn’t want to watch me himself. Back then, I didn’t have the option of getting to hang around with my friends and have some liberty. They knew where I was at all times and told Superman. When he did pay attention to me, I made him notice me.” She sighed, getting a little aggravated herself. “It’s called a library. I’m pretty sure there are a dozen books on the powers Superman has, or, you know, you could have tried someone who’s worked with him. I’m not sure why you don’t have certain powers or can’t do certain things, but Clark didn’t have them all automatically, either. He had to figure it out for himself. The only reason I have them all being as young as I am was because I already had them when Krypton and Argos were destroyed.”
He had already asked something, as cliché as it sounded, she wanted to point it out to him in a, probably vain, attempt to make him laugh. Still, she managed to keep it to herself and, instead, shrugged at what he said. “They probably would have left it alone if I had stayed there, but I didn’t. I also probably made Superman nervous by staying there. I had finally proven myself as a hero and then, bam, I make a decision that impacts them.” Her nose wrinkled and she shrugged again. “I don’t really mind, actually. I kinda like hanging around with people my own age.” Kara grinned brightly and nodded his head. “Sure, I don’t see why not. You don’t have to ask me if you have a question.”
