Not a week ago Batman had offered Freddy a spot on the Young Justice roster. He'd heard about the team from Marvel, but he already knew most of the members; Aqualad, Kid Flash, Supergirl, etc... He'd decided he would just stay at the Headquarters since there was really nothing keeping him in Fawcett City, and he could get back easily enough if something needed his attention.
After packing his things, he decided to try a new spell that he'd been taught by Marvel; a teleportation spell that would get him to Mount Justice in an instant. It was more powerful and complex magic than he was used to wielding, but he was always up for a new spell. He delved into the deep well of knowledge that he possessed, and when he found the right incantation, he invoked the words.
A bolt of lightning struck, and then again on the exterior of Mount Justice; when the smoke cleared, he was there, and he was a little tired. "Note to self...don't do the teleportation spell again for a while." He looked around for a bit and took a deep breath of the crisp mountain air. "I wonder if anyone knows I'm here?"

Kaldur was returning from a day at the beach where he swam in water for fun instead of his usual training exercises. It was something new that he was doing in order to have a semblance of a hobby outside of being a superhero, so that people wouldn't think he was some dull leader who always thought about the mission which had mainly been suggested to him by Zatanna on another such endeavor.
On his way back, Kal noticed a lightning bolt strike down near Mount Justice, which could only mean one thing. The team had another new arrival that Batman had told Kaldur about in advance just so that the appropriate additions could be made to the computer systems and to the rooms. Didn't want the new person to the team thinking that they weren't prepared for his arrival.
The young Atlantean came up from behind the young Marvel, which is when he heard the question that was posed. "I am sure that the computers registered your arrival for them if none of them were outside to see the lightning bolt display." He stuck out his hand to Freddy as was the traditional greeting when meeting new people. "Welcome to Young Justice, Shazam."

He turned and shook the webbed hand offered to him. Of course it was Kaldur who greeted him, who else but the leader of the team would? "Aqualad, been a long time my friend; I can't wait to work with you and the others.... and yeah, the bolt is a lot faster than flying...but it takes a lot outta me. So how is everyone?"
He picked up his bag and allowed Kaldur to show him the way inside; Mount Justice was an impressive fortress to be sure. It reminded him of the Rock, but with tech instead of magic; not a bad thing, just differently operated. Wooooow, this place is nice; can't wait to fight some crime from outta here. Dropping his bag, he flew around the place a few times before landing and looking around again.
(The posts will get better, I promise, lol)

The two of them shook hands while Shazam made inquiries about the rest of the team, while responding to the comment that Kal had made about his choice of transportation. “As far as I know, the others are well and must be excited about the prospect of having you on the team just like I have been. The group is getting so large that we may need to setup a work schedule.”
The two of them went inside of the building with the usual identification being announced for everyone to hear, which was the perfect way to get people to show up. Upon entering, Shazam flew around the place while Kaldur stood there waiting. When he returned, Kaldur looked over at him to see how he was taking in his new surroundings. “Do you have any questions?”
